No, it's neither shirt, scarf, shoes or bags. We have fashion not only in apparels but in many aspects of our lives often which we fail to notice.
We, human beings tend to follow the herd. When we find something that is fashionable or trendy we have our little inner teenage girls side which go crazy to that.
When everybody are hyped about working in MNC, the education system creates "factories" to produce more robots to feed into the system. Everybody emphasised STEM and pushes the otherwise aside.
Likewise, when everybody is hyped about starting their own business, competitions and tournaments are organised. Undeniably, these are great platforms for the some and I do appreciate the effort. The question is- is it really necessary for us to be subscribed into these to be really be successful?
You see, many successful people such as Steve Jobs, Richard Branson, Bill Gates, Malcolm Gladwell, Nick Vujicic and the list goes on. One thing that is in common among these people is their ability to not conform with the world.
They do not follow other people's trend; they do not let others' mindset influence them. That is what drive them to their pinnacle.
Our world is constantly setting a fashion in many things such as education system, startups, social enterprises, and all aspects of life. When we are not in the trend, we are deemed as failures, not good enough and outdated.
Did Richard Branson won in some competition to build Virgin? No!
When all the others around you are herding toward a direction, be the one that walk out from the herd and create your very own trend.
The pages are yours to write, do not subscribe into the trend easily; write those pages yourself and when someone deny you, do not think bad about yourself. You are the most wonderful creature that God has ever made. Take your own pen, and fill up those blank pages with all the colours of your life.
