Sons of God-God

Dwayne Johnson starred in the recent blockbuster movie-"Hercules". Well, the story was not what we expected from the one from Disney's. Legend has it, Hercules of Zeus was half-God and half-Mortal. When he grew up his strength was astonishing. However, he fought not of pride but gold. In the end, he fought for a corrupted nation and sacrificed many's life. His comrades encouraged him and told him to believe that he is the son of Zeus and not merely a legend. He rebelled against the nation's leader, built another nation and fought with pride.

So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith,... Galatians 3:26

As Christians, believing that Christ is with us in any circumstances will help us sail through storms and hails in life. Physically, if we were to lean on to our very own understanding, we are unable to do anything. But, by believing the Christ that is with us always; with us wherever we go, we are able to conquer all fears, problems and trials that God has arranged to mould us. 

BELIEVE is the fundamental element that will draw us close to God. Remembering that you are a child of God through faith that he does not differentiate us but He loves us as His child. Slow down your life pace, remember that He is with us in our heart, that we can make a difference and do great things that God has set forth for us.   

Dome-Life

Dome. Round,smooth and protects us all. We can see through it but we chose to stay within the dome. As the dome protects us from danger; protect us from any form of invasion.

There are people who long to stay outside the dome. They see beautiful galaxies beyond the dome; they do not want to confine themselves in the dome. "Just stay in the dome, it is different out there". "We have a job, a place to stay and food on the table; be contented."

"Contented with the life you have now? living under the dome of conventional idea suffocates me! I need air!

Dream, is so difficult for most of us to do. It is not tangible, abstract and unpredictable. But, dream is what makes life more exciting and moves our inner self. 

Living beyond the dome is not always as dangerous as you thought. Sometimes, incorporating life in the dome to the life outside the dome will help us to survive. Try it once in a while. The results might not be what you have expected in the dome. 

Shield-God

We feel vulnerable to certain circumstances sometimes that we do not know who to turn to. We shun away from the problems and cry alone at the corner helplessly.

In life sometimes we might be facing adversaries that draw us down and make us lose hope. No matter what, God is our deliverer. Do not forget that no matter in what circumstances we are in; joyful; sorrow, he is always there for us as our shield of life.

Psalms 3:3 But you are a shield around me, O Lord; you bestow glory on me and lift up my head.

He does not distinguish our status, he looks into our heart. If we BELIEVE, he is faithful to help us out from it. When arrows are aiming at you, He is our shield that protects us;wipe our tear;lift us and bring us out from the problems.

Problems in life strengthen our faith in Him even more. Trust in Him. He is our shield of life.

被遗弃的道路

站在纽约大街上，人潮往着同一个方向走去。我，站在大街的中间，反着他们走向的方向。我闭上眼睛，聆听。人，毫无关注的走过；对着电话谈话；与我擦肩而过把我撞倒在地上。

我睁开眼睛，白领一族犹如世界的奴隶，走向生命的安全港。

如果我在大街上反着方向走，有错吗？难道我就需要跟着这个世界所谓的“安稳生活”吗？难道我追求我的梦想，我就犯了社会“安乐窝宪法” 的罪吗？

当我想朝着我理想的道路时，人们常对我所：“小伙子，你还年轻，不懂事”；"傻小子！”； “蠢蛋”。就因我是个小伙子，所以我很虔诚的向长辈们学习人生经验。吸取了他们的经验，我不但不重蹈覆辙，也可吸取新知识。长辈常告诉我们在“安乐窝”的痛苦经验，可是又要我跟随世界走向“安乐窝之路”， 因为每日九五制，每月有稳定的薪水；有时还有花红。

我实在不明白长辈们的想法。我本身是不会走这“安乐窝之路”。 他们把“安乐窝之路” 形容得如地狱，他们要我羊入虎口? 岂不是自相矛盾？畏惧往往成了我们成功的绊脚石；每次让我们犹豫我们所选择的道路。

你在一个T 字路口。你只可以选一条路。 在你的左边，是一条明亮的道路；指示牌写着“安乐窝”-5公里， 在指示牌下有一只扫把来扫走一些小石头。另一条是一条黑暗的森林，指示牌写着“永久成功，与神共处” 100 公里， 在指示牌下附有一把斧头及手电筒。 你会选择那一条？

父母，老师和书籍都教导我们决心，信心和永不言败的精神的重要性-实现理想。可是，当我们真正的面对做决定的时刻时，长辈们会叫我们踏实一些，走“安乐窝之路”。“缩头乌龟"!

我可说我们晚辈吃的盐不比长辈们的多，可是，我们至少能够期待其道路的考验，也能够运用从长辈们学到的智慧来解决路上的问题，好过不知一切。

起来！跟随你的理想和愿望。不要因为畏惧而退缩。勇敢的踏出那一步，实现你的理想。

The Shunned Path-Life

Robert Frost's  "The road not taken" depicts the choices that we have in life and usually the road not taken by many usually have different results.

You are at the main street of a city. The crowds flow towards the direction againsting you. All busying  talking to their phones;rubbing against your shoulder; "Watch your way,idiot!".They are heading for something in common-steady pay checks; make ends meet; and be a soulless slaves of the mainstream world.

Is it wrong to be the only one walking against the flow? Is it a sin to breach the "normal" code of law that unconsciously set by the society?

People are saying you "stupid", "immature", "idiot", "you are so young, you do not know anything" and other disgusting statements that will let us shun away from the path that we ought to take. People around us tend to share their experiences with us and we learn from it. Emphathising their experiences and analyse it with God blessed great mind to not to repeat their stupid mistakes; or maybe we could learn some life lessons from it. What a contradicting world, people tell us about their experiences in the "safety net" that they are heading, but wants us to head for the path as it provides us with a steady life even though there are some pricks here and there.

With my ability to think, of course, I would not want to take their path. They described it as if it is hell on earth! Then they want me to go for it?! Saying that taking the other way brings more harm yet they have not even step into that path before. Fear is that one thing that dictates our decisions. Fear shun us from the path not taken.

You are at a Y-shaped crossroad. You ought to choose one. Path on the left is a bright, well lit, underground tunnel with a signboard stating " High salary,High education level, stable life"-  5 km away and a broom for you to sweep away some stones on the way. The other is a dark forest with an axe and a torch light at the pole of the signboard stating " Road to life long success, financial freedom and Godly life"- 100 km away.

Which path will you choose?

Parents, teachers, books and movies teaches us about determination; to have a goal; to have a dream; to not give up. However, when it comes making choices, they will ask us to jump into the safety net rather than choosing the other one. Fear!

They did it in the name of love. Really? You love someone by stopping one to achieve something that they could have achieved even they are willing to pay the price of success? 

Undeniably, we might not have first hand experiences in life. However, the hard fact is that when we listen to people's experiences; read books; or learn from people who had taken the shunned path, we know what to anticipate rather than not knowing anything.

People, Wake up! Follow your heart and passion. Do not let people's statements shun you away from a better way even though we might slip or fall on the way.

Alchemist-Life

Paulo Coelho must have been through a great deal! He brings readers to the ship of achieving dreams in choppy and stormy Mariana Trench of life.

"That there's no need for iron to be the same as copper or copper the same as gold. Each performs its own exact function as a unique being..."

"Lead will play its role until the world has no further need for lead; and then lead will have to turn itself into gold."

Each of us has our very own Personal Legend. We are all called to carry out different tasks and we have different roles to play. Each of us can be successful, but most of us refuse to take the first step out of the comfort door. We remain in our cozy zone and thinking of living the safe and secure life.

There are pirates, tribal wars and dunes which you will encounter when you are at the desert. But to reach the Pyramid of Giza after those detours will be the BEST moment in your life. Same thing goes in our life.

In life, we might encounter detours and mountains, it is up to us whether or not to overcome it; whether or not to the first step despite the fact that we realise that we will slip and fall a little when conquering it.

The greatest holding back factor to achieve our dreams: the FEAR OF FAILURE. Dare to fail! But never repeat it. We ought not to dwell in our mistakes but to get out from it and never ever repeat it.

Get out there and achieve your personal legend!

Courage-God

9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

 Fear is what draws us back most of the time. When we intend to step out from the comfort zone, when we are facing our greatest fear, when we are trying to change- Fear is that one thing that draws our feet back to the door. 

Bamp! You shut the door;breath in deeply; eyes wide open; Heart thumps like a bullet train. "What am I gonna do?","What will people think of me?" Sliding your back against the door.

Self consciousness and fear has conquered most part of our lives. It hinders us from achieving great things that God has in store for us. Sometimes, we have to learn to let things go. In times of transitions, we would be overwhelmed with the sudden changes and sometimes we might lost in the dark valleys of changes.However,  be strong and courageous!

When we are facing our fears or getting out there and do something great, remember that Jesus is always with us in the vessel to calm the storm. He is greater than your problems and fears in lives.  He will be with us wherever we are. Open the door, take the first step and he will hold your hands and guide you to the way he wants you to go.

Words-Love

Words. It could be lethal; could be encouraging; could change a thought; could change the world.

My love for words has always been so deep and it has become part and parcel of my life. Why is it so wrong for one to express his love for words? 

I hate rhetoric. It is often so superficial that it blinds people's lens and make themselves convince to something that they think it is glamorous and highly recognised by the society. Words are meant to be sincere and the misuse of words by people hurts me badly...

Bombastic words or phrases makes you a giant in essays but in truth, you are just a mere nincompoop covering up your disgusting ideas with words that might scare people off the ground. That empowers you, Liar!

Words are tools for us to care, love and nurture. Simple words could  brighten one's day. You do not have to squeeze your brain juice for it. Mere love for words makes you the master for words. Master in reconciling, in sharing joy, in expressing ideas.

I gave up everything to pursue in the field of language, where words are my friends. They were angels of mine sent by God to lift me up. I thank God for his Words, to let me know him more. Words in books appears in front of me in different forms. Colourful rainbows, dried and hot Sahara desert, luminating night skies. It paints my life by giving pictures in my floating mind. It gives me great peace from the Lord.

Word, it is so magical. Do not misuse it as a shield for your false empowerment. It empowers you when you love it and use it well. Remember, words can be lethal...

Journey-Life

Train station.

Trains, platform, counter,tickets and DESTINATIONS.

We bought our tickets, wait for our train at the correct platform. Clock ticking till the time the train arrive at the platform. We board and reach our destination, hopefully, reaching there safely.

Life, we are hoping for the same thing-to get a golden ticket, hop on the right platform and achieve our goals safely. Old ones always tell the young ones " study hard, work hard, earn a lot of money, get a good spouse and live a stable life". Young ones are told to reach the safety nets. However, we can choose the platform that we want to hop on, be it your passion, your dreams or your ambitions.

Choices in life determines our destinations in life. If we are on the "correct" platform, we will reach our "safe" destination. But if we are not, we are likely to go to the opposite. Making decision contrary to our thought sometimes might lead us to the unknown. 

Risk is what makes life exciting. 

Boarding the same train everyday keeps us safe, but, does it brings joy? Fake joy and fake assurance perhaps. 

Implore into the unknown. Follow our hearts' passion. Take risk. Be brave. There will be detours and interchanges before we reach our destinations, but those detours is what makes us into a better person and to prove people around us wrong.

Take charge of your journey. Do not let the people at the train counter dictate your journey. YOU are in charge. 

The sprout

This is my first post for my very first blog. 

It may sound awkward that a kid would want to share with you things that is in our life. A kid that would share about love and also God with you. Basically that builds us as human.

Usually those who are more senior than me will say: What do you know about life, chap? I have to admit that I am young in my appearance but not my heart and my mind.

I challenge people. No matter WHO they are.

Howard Gardner did state that we human have multiple intelligences and I discovered that I am I intra-personal and linguistically inclined.
